#VampireCongress trends as party attempts to form govt in Goa within hours of Parrikar's death

New Delhi, Mar 18 (IT): Congress party on Monday faced criticism on Twitter after it attempted to form the government in Goa soon after Manohar Parrikar's death on Sunday.

#VampireCongress is trending on Twitter as people slammed the "power-hungry party" for not paying any respect to Parrikar, who died after a battling pancreatic cancer.

Many Twitter users lashed out at Congress president Rahul Gandhi and his party for writing a letter to the governor to form government in Goa within two hours after his death.

"Within 2 hours post death of Manohar Parrikar this is the letter sent by Congress to governor followed by emergency meeting of all MLA's," said Twitter user Anubhav Srivastava.

Others termed Congress's attempt to form the government so soon after Manohar Parrikar's death as "shameful".

Many individuals on Twitter compared the Congress party with "vultures" for trying to stake claim to the government just a few hours after Parrikar's death.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan also criticised the Congress party for trying to stake claim to form the Goa government in such haste.

'They didn't even wait for his funeral'

Disgusted by the Congress hasty move to form the government, a few Twitter users criticised the party for not even awaiting his funeral.

"They didn't even wait for his funeral. For #VampireCongress his death is a great gift which they had dearly been yearning as he was the man who had been keeping these vultures out of power. By doing so they have only displayed the act of a vulture, desperate to feed on the dead," said one Twitter user.

Meanwhile, the political situation in Goa remains tense as Nitin Gadkari holds talks with BJP and MGP leaders to select new Goa chief minister. He is currently chairing a crucial meeting to choose the next Goa CM.

On Saturday, just a few hours after Manohar Parrikar passed away after a long battle with pancreatic cancer, Goa Congress leader Girish Chodankar and Chandrakant Kavlekar wrote to Goa governor Mridula Sinha for forming the government in Goa.

Shame that in Goa "vultures" for trying to stake claim to the government just a few hours after Parrikar's death. In Karnataka vultures do so when the CM is still alive. Its not noble either.

Sir, how far you can go?

Let it be known. A dead man is at peace and does not expect any mercy. It is the living ones who use the opportunity. Claiming to form government can be accepted but nor use every breath of a person who is mortally sick to retain power.

Let us not argue who is right and who is not . We all are mortals and make mistakes. Let us learn to forgive and live in peace.

BJP IT cell is not leaving any stone unturned, what about Mr.Gadkari's circus going on from yesterday evening , if Congress try to get their rights bjp paid trolls will start hue and cry, I am pity on congress why they dont have good IT cell to counter this. CM post should have handed over to other months abck when he was ailing with serious cancer. Mr. parrikar was a good human being it doesn't mean that BJP shall ride on his ailing health to garner the votes

Actually lot of stories are there on same lines, like Indira Gandhi was searching for some key bunch instead of looking at the dead body during the plane crash of Sanjay Gandhi. How Sonia was looking for some paper documents whilst inspecting the car crash of Madhavrao Scindia, how Rajiv Gandhi was sworn in even as his mother lay in state. These are all pointing to the power greed of CONgressis

Are you aware that there are about 6000 vacancies in the various government sectors in Goa which have not yet been filled due to the illness of Mr. Parrikar who incidentally was the head of high level empowered committee overseeing the filling of these vacancies. That means 6000 unemployed in Goa; of course that's not too many for you is it?

Yes the congress has been a little too hasty but is the BJP any less? imagine BJP's Gadkari coming to Goa and negotiating with the highest bidder over Parrikar's dead body and you andhbhakts looking the other way..

    RIP to Mr. Parrikar.

Even though he is a "CHOR-CHOWKIDAR " !!!!!!
