Mangaluru: Fishing boat sinks in sea, nine fishermen rescued

Mangaluru, Mar 16: A boat which was returning after completing deep sea fishing in the Arabian Ocean got sunk into the sea on the night of Thursday, March 14. All the nine fishermen in the boat are rescued.

The boat named ‘Kaizer’, owned by Nawaz had gone to deep sea fishing on Saturday, March 9. On the night of Thursday, March 14, the boart along with the crew was returning back to the shore. When the boat reached a distance of around 30 nautical miles from the shore, it developed a technical snag.

The fishermen, who sensed the danger, contacted the fishermen in another boat belonging to the same owner and asked them for help. The fishermen of the other boat immediately went to the help of the boat that was sinking, rescued the fishermen and brough them safely to the shore.
