Mangaluru: National Security Day observed at St Agnes College

Mangaluru, Mar 14: The National Cadet Corps and Department of Political Science of St Agnes College organised ‘National Security Day’ on March 12.

Capt Ganesh Karnik, former opposition whip Karnataka Legislative Council and Lt Col Grecian Sequeira were the chief guests of the programme.

Delivering the inaugural address, Karnik spoke on importance of patriotism and the important role students play in protecting the country. He also stressed the significant role of military forces.

Lt Col Grecian Sequeira spoke about his experiences in the army and values to be followed in one’s life. Various ranks were given to NCC Cadets followed by the awards to the best cadets in Army and Air Wing.

Sr Dr Jeswina A.C. presided over the programme. Dr Nagesh, NCC staff coordinator, Lt Gayathri B.K ANO, Army Wing, Chandramohana Marathe, HOD Political Science and Dr Hithakshi caretaker Air Wing were present in the programme.
