Mangaluru: Srinivas University to host annual food festival 'Hog' on Mar 16

Mangaluru, Mar 14: Srinivas University College of Hotel Management & Tourism and Srinvas College of Hotel Management Pandeshwar, will be organise its annual food festival ‘Hog-2019’ on March 16 at 6.00 pm.

The food festival ‘Hog’ is an annual event in the college calendar. The food festival started in the year 1993 to expose the students to the intricacies of event management. It is also an attempt to integrate the society with the activities of the college.

The students are expected to generate a business model and execute the model. They generate the funds, manage the production, finance and marketing functions of the event.

This year, the food festival has special features like:

1. Live Food Counters
2. Variety Entertainment
3. Vegetable & Ice Carving
4. Mock tail Counter
5. Musical Extravaganza

CA A Raghavendra Rao, honourable chancellor, Srinivas University and president, A Shama Rao Foundation will preside over the function. While, Peter Nirmal, general manager, The Gateway Hotel Mangaluru, would be the chief guest. Pro-chancellor, Srinivas University and vice president, A Shama Rao Foundation, Dr A Srinivas Rao, A Vijayalakshmi R Rao, director, Srinivas Group of Colleges, and A Mitra S Rao, secretary, A Shama Rao Foundation, would be the guests of honour.
