Supporters of Ambareesh and JD(S) workers engage in Facebook war

Daijiworld Media Network - Mandya (MS)

Mandya, Feb 23: The issue of contention of Sumalata Ambareesh from the Mandya constituency in the coming Lok Sabha elections has created an angst among the political circles of the state. The supporters of late Ambareesh and workers of JD (S) party have resorted to a Facebook war over this issue.

The supporters of Ambareesh have challenged the JD (S) workers to make Nikil Kumaraswamy as the candidate from Mandya, if they have got the guts. The JD (S) workers, in retaliation, have countered that Mandya is the strong bastion of JD (S) and they will show by winning in the coming Lok Sabha elections.

Ambareesh supporters are saying that C S Puttaraju became an MP only because of the support of late Ambareesh. The JD (S) have countered this statement and questioned the supporters of Ambareesh as to where were they when Ambareesh had lost his ministerial position.

The Ambareesh supporters have ridiculed the JD (S) supporters and said, "The JD (S) leaders, who are scared of Sumalata's candidature and searching whether they will get some one like Shivaramegowda as a sacrificial lamb. To this, the JD (S) supporters have said that they will get any candidate nominated by their party win the elections from this constituency. In addition, the supporters of Ambareesh have used the filmy dialogues of Ambareesh to pinch the JD (S) workers. However, the JD (S) workers are not far behind and they have responded in a tit for tat manner.

C S Puttaraju, minister for minor irrigation, said, "This time around, all the MLAs of the district have given unanimous invitation for either former prime minister Devegowda or Nikil Kumaraswamy to contest from the Mandya Lok Sabha constituency on JD (S) ticket. JD (S) is strong in the district. We are confident getting any one of these two candidates win in the coming Lok Sabha elections."

It is learnt that state Congress in-charge K C Venugopal has instructed the state Congress leaders to demand JD (S) to give the seat of Mandya Lok Sabha constituency to the Congress party.

If the coalition partners come to an agreement to retain the sitting MP seats, then Mandya Lok Sabha constituency will go to JD (S). It is learnt that if the JD (S) demands to give the sitting MP seats of Congress party to them, then Congress will demand the Mandya constituency from JD (S).

Sumalata has already expressed her interest in contesting from the constituency and has demanded the Congress party to provide her ticket. It has come to light that K C Vengugopal has said that Sumalata cannot be ignored in this Lok Sabha election.

Cong is paying for the wrong move of the coalition. Its proving dissastarous in the long run , as the grand old party is losing its identity. If you see HDK became the CM. His first wife Anita, without any credibility contested for an election and won. Dodda Gowdru is in contention for the PM post if the Mahaghatbandhan wins, as he is the most experienced. HDKs son Nikhil, a good for nothing has been launched as a movie star, just cos he is the 'CM'S son'. Paralelly to be on the safer side he would be contesting from Mandya . Cong has lost its voice . The ex CM has bee reduced to be a peon of Mrs. HDK. So its better Sumalatha withdraws her request, if they do not accede to any request of JDS, HDK will pull the carpet under the Cong legs.

This lady should have stayed away from the politics.
She is spoiling the image (if there is) of her husband Ambareesh.
Her qualification is only late Ambereesh's wife.
    Ambereesh was good for nothing.
If she is smart, she must keep away from politics and maintain her self respect.
