DC imposes traffic ban in Agumbe Ghat region till March 31

Shivamogga, Feb 23: Occurrences of landslides and rock slides are reported in Agumbe ghat region in the recent days. To undertake repairs, Shivamogga deputy commissioner K A Dayananda imposed traffic ban on the ghat roads from March 1 to March 31.

Repairs will be undertaken in the ghat region from 14th curve to 7th curve and 7th curve to 1st curve in Udupi and Shivamogga district limits.

The deputy commissioner has informed that mini bus services will be provided for travel on alternative routes such as Thirthahalli-Mastikatte-Kundapur-Balebare ghat (Hulikal ghat) and Thirthahalli –Sringeri – Karkala. The DC has requested people’s cooperation.
