Mangaluru, Feb 23: In a shocking incident that occurred on Thursday, February 21, a group of prisoners attacked two security personnel in the city prison.
Mustaq, who is a murder accused, and his accomplices are the ones who assaulted the security staff.
As per details available, the accused were taken to court for hearing. As per the protocol, the CISF personnel deployed at the main entry gate were frisking the undertrials as they were brought back to the prison. The accused got enraged by this and in protest they attacked Keerthi Kumar and Chandrashekhar who were just doing their duty.
The ten undertrials who were involved in the assault were shifted to Ballari jail immediately.
A case in this regard stands registered in Barke police station.
