CRPF warns against fake photos of Pulwama martyrs

New Delhi, Feb 17 (IANS): The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on Sunday said some miscreants were putting up fake photographs of body parts of troopers, killed in the Pulwama attack, to spread "hatred", and appealed people to not share or 'like' such posts.

"It has been noticed that on social media some miscreants are trying to circulate fake pictures of body parts of our martyrs to trigger hatred. Please do not circulate, share or 'like' such photographs or posts," the CRPF said in a statement.

Such posts/pictures should be reported to webpro@crpf.gov.in, it added.

The CRPF also said "miscreants" were spreading "fake news" about harassment of students from Kashmir on social media.

"The CRPF helpline has enquired about complaints of harassment and found them incorrect. These are attempts to spread hatred. Please do not circulate such posts," it said.

As many as 49 personnel were killed on February 14, when a Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) terrorist rammed an explosive-laden vehicle into a CRPF convoy on the Jammu-Srinagar highway in Pulwama.

    The advisory of Central Reserve Police Force(CRPF) warning against fake photos of Pulwama martyrs should be taken seriously.
    There is already one such twitter from Rahul Roushan, who founded the right-wing propaganda blog page 'OpIndia' calls for ‘largescale mindless violence,’ and deletes the tweet fearing reprisal from Twitter.

    Roshan took to Twitter to write, “See, if you want to make sure ‘intellectuals’ like this ass listen to your grievances, the first thing you’ve to indulge is in largescale mindless violence. Gau rakshaks, you know what to do. Stop with sundry lynchings.” The founder of fake news factory OpIndia was responding to a tweet posted by noted Supreme Court lawyer Prashant Bhushan on Pulwama attack.

    There are also some fake websites already collecting in the name of Martyr soldiers from right-wing
    which will similarly be used for financing political campaigns collecting 'Bricks' in the past for Ram Mandir construction.

    The Rashtriya Swayamsevak political Wing BJP desperately wanted this communal violence like Muzaffarnagar in 2014 elections. The party must be thanking Pakistan for reelection on the basis of sympathy of nationalism.
    Be aware of India, this martyrdom of soldiers is more to do with politics rather than nationalism. This war call is similar to surgical strike ahead of Lok Sabha election is to repeat the result of Uttar Pradesh to retain PM Modi in the ruling.
    Why the media, the opposition is not asking Intelligent Beaure Chief Ajit Doval to resign, who ignored the warning and still let the convey to travel by road instead of airlifting despite bad weather?
    I request all Indians to be vigilant in the coming days. There are many fake messages in circulation in the social platform. Please try to find the authenticity of news before you forward to others.
    Don't donate any money to fake address which will be routed for political campaigning.

    This is an intentional attack on 49 troopers with full Indian govt knowledge. This incident and many more to follow has tremendous bearing on upcoming elections. Indian intelligence in the valley had full knowledge of this imminent attack even it was alerted by state police but still the govt allowed it to happen. BJP is anti Indian, anti Army and now playing with blood of slain soldiers and tears of thier families. BJP Modi govt in the centre would have already Thanked Imran Khan govt in Pakistan for rescuing from imminent defeat in elections and keeping this fire burning in Modi's heart from conceding defeat.
