Udupi: Shivakumar Swamiji paid respectful homage

Udupi, Jan 24: A programme to pay homage to the departed Dr Shivakumara Swamiji of Siddaganga math was held by district citizen committee in the cooperation of Mother of sorrows church here on Thursday.

Church parish priest Fr Valerian Mendonca acknowledged the programmes taken up by the Swamiji when he was alive. School teacher Prabhaker Shetty said that the Swamiji was well known all over the country and abroad by means of his Akshara Dasoha, Jnana Dasoha and Anna Dasoha programmes.



St Mary’s Kannada medium, higher primary and high school students and staff offered floral tributes to the picture of the Swamiji.

Citizen committee chief secretary Nithyananda Olakadu, member Taranath Mestha Shiruru, high school headmistress Joyce D’ Sa, primary school headmaster Herald D’Souza and teachers were present.
