Addressing media here on Thursday, January 24, Janardhana Poojary said, "Congress has appointed Priyanka Gandhi as AICC General Secretary for Uttar Pradesh East,. This talks about the women power. People see Indira Gandhi in Priyanka,”
When asked whether Siddaramaiah’s tenure in state led to the present difference in Congress, Poojary said, "Siddaramaiah entered Congress to destroy it.”
When asked about contesting in Lok Sabha elections, Poojary said," I will contest for the election if the ticket is given to me. I will visit to New Delhi and ask for the ticket,”
While reminded about MLC Ivan D Souza showing interest in contesting election, Poojary said, "Ivan wants everything in this world. I know that high command will not give ticket to him,”
Kudroli Temple Bhramakalashotsava
"The Bhramakalashotsava of Kudroli Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra will be held from February 10 to 17. The offertory procession will be taken out from Nehru Maidan to Kudroli Temple on February 13. The existing Kalasa will replaced with Kalasa made out of gold weighing up to 1 kilogram costing around Rs 45 lac, The installation of new Dwaja Stamba (Kodimara) will also be held on this occasion,”
Meanwhile invitation card of Bhramakalashotsava was released.
