Kundapur: Illegal sale of leopard skin, nine accused granted conditional bail

Kundapur, Jan 24: Among the ten people who were arrested by the CID forest unit on January 18 for trying to sell leopard skin illegally in the town, nine people were granted bail. The eighth accused in the crime, Surendra Shetty is the only person who is not granted the bail by the court.

These people were arrested near Shastri circle of the town and Prabhakar Kulal, zonal forest officer of Kundapur had registered a complaint under wildlife protection act of 1972, column 9, 48, 48A, 49, 49:, 44, R/W 2(16) 39, 50, 51, 55 and 57 and submitted charge sheet to the court against the arrested people.

The court, which conducted the investigation against the accused has granted conditional bail to nine people.
