Mangaluru: Milagres College holds first Alumni Day

Mangaluru, Jan 21: The first Alumni day of Milagres College Alumni Association (MICAA) was held on January 19 at 6 pm in Milagres Auditorium.

Prof Uday Kumar, associate professor, SDM Law College was the chief guest. Alwyn Rosario, former student of Milagres College was the guest of honour. Prof Lourdusamy, academic advisor, Anju Thomas and Dr Mamatha N R, alumni coordinators, and Ashish Bava, president of Alumni Association, were present on the dais.

Fr Michael L Santhumayor, principal welcomed the gathering. Chief guest Prof Uday Kumar addressed the gathering on the importance of alumni’s and their need to their Alma Mater. He also said that they should flourish the name and fame of Milagres all over the world by their good deeds.

Guest of honour Alwyn Rosario cherished his moments of the days he spent in Milagres. He also mentioned that alumni are the part of college and they have to be very enthusiastic in bringing up the college and its reputation by helping it grow in different ways.

Former Milagrean Royline Baptist Lobo appreciated college as well as teachers who helped him in bringing out his abilities and molded him to be what he is today.

Elston Niel, vice-president of MICAA compered the programme and Anju Thomas, coordinator of MICAA thanked the gathering.
