Karkala: Rotary Club Belman holds cleanup programme

Karkala, Jan 20: Rotary Club Belman organised a cleanup programme for smooth road traffic recently.

Dr Raneesh R Shetty of Rotary Club Belman welcomed everyone. Governor-in-chief of zone-5 Sooryakanta Shetty inaugurated the programme.

In this context, Ashok Shetty Nandalaya, vice-chancellor of Vijaya Bank, was honoured with a Rotary Career Service Award.

At the inaugural ceremony, Bharat Bhat, the college's national service planning commissioner, Sachin Kumar, a lecturer at the college, Prasad Shetty Kadikambala, president of the Nandhalya BJP local committee and members of the Rotary Club were present.

About 70 volunteers actively participated in the programme.

Alvin Nire Pinto compared the programme, Rtn Vignesh Shenoy proposed vote of thanks. The program was sponsored by Suresh Shetty Kadikambala.
