Mangaluru, Jan 16: Mandd Sobhann has scheduled a workshop on Baila dances at Kalangann on January 20 from 9.30 am. Details on the birth of this unique genre of Konkani, the way it grew as Baila, Dulpad, Christmas game, Polka and other varieties, its similarities and varieties in Sri Lanka, Mauritius and Latin America, the traditional attire of Baila etc will be available in the workshop.

A Baila video challenge based on the information in the workshop will be held in order to spread the flavor of Baila all over the world.
