Mumbai, Jan 16: Durga Parameshwari committee of Tulu Kannadigas celebrated Makara Sankranti and held Arasina Kumkuma programme at Kurar village, Malad east.

Local political leaders Sahili Sunil Prabhu, Shiva Sene sub division leaders Roopali Rao Rane, Reena Suvale, Ruchika Anaskar, Vaibhava Patil and committee vice president Padmanabha T Shetty, Ganesh L Kunder, Naresh R Kotian, honorary chief secretary S B Kotian, treasurer Babu M Suvarna were present.

Committee joint secretaries Gopal B Kotian, Muraleedhar B Pojary, Ramesh T Shetty, joint treasurers Devu B Kotian, Suresh M Kotian, Geetha C Jathan, Vatsala S Kotian, Kalavathi G Kotian, Latha G Kunder, Asha Raghunath Kothari, Meena D Kotian, Supriya M Poojary, Rekha V Jathan, Vanaja J Poojary, Sujatha M Shetty, Sangeetha M Kotian, Kavitha R Bhat, Shakuntala B Suvarna, Smitha Abu, women in the vicinity and devotees were present.



Priest Vidwan Raghavendra Bhat Sooda performed religious rituals, Ranga puja at night, distributed Theertha Prasad and blessed the devotees.
