Mangaluru: Shakti Educational institutions celebrate Swami Vivekananda Jayanti

Mangaluru, Jan 15: The birthday of Swami Vivekananda was celebrated in Shkti PU college and Shakti Residential school at Shaktinagar on the outskirts of the city on January 12.

Speaking on the occasion, Baikady Janardhan Achar, chief guest, said, "Swamy Vivekananda was a finder of truth. It is possible to build a solid society and nation in the background of Vedas. Students have to inculcate the values of Vivekananda in their lives. Swamy Vivekananda, who attracted the attention of the west towards the Hindu values through his vibrant speeches and who made the western people to respect India, is one of the greatest human beings the world has seen."



K C Naik, management trustee of Sri Gopalkrishna temple inaugurated the programme by lighting the lamp. Development officer of Shakti Education trust, Naseem Banu and chief advisor, Ramesh K were present.

Vidya G Kamath, prinicpal of the school welcomed the gathering. Prabhakar G S, prinicpal of the college rendered the vote of thanks. Rinku Kumari spoke about Swamy Vivekananda. The programme was compered by Priyanka Rai.
