Mangaluru: St Aloysius Higher Primary School celebrates Christmas

Mangalore, Dec 25: St Aloysius Higher Primary School Kodialbail celebrated Christmas on December 22 in the school auditorium.

The students of Class 4 enthralled the student body and the guests by singing carols and various items with great zeal. They emphasized the importance of caring, sharing and spreading goodness all around.

An English play was enacted highlighting the spirit of Christmas and the birth of Jesus Christ. Children performed awesome dances adding to the festive atmosphere. They also spoke about true meaning of Christmas.

The correspondent Fr Gerald Furtado, expressed his delight on seeing such enthusiasm in the children who brought the spirit of Christmas alive. Speaking about Christmas he said, Christmas comprises of two things that is giving and receiving. He appreciated the students for their visit to various Ashrams, Orphanages and destitute homes where in they shared the joy of Christmas.



Chief Guest Pradeep D’Souza, the old student of this institution proudly spoke of his gratitude towards this institution and expressed his sentiments for what he is today. He said that the love of Christ is to be spread by following the values of Christ and live as a righteous person in the society.

Prizes were distributed for the winners of the Christmas events held on 15th of December 2018 which included greeting card making and star making.

The celebration brought cheer to every student and staff.

Correspondent Fr Gerald Furtado, headmistress Philomena Lewis, the vice-president of the PTA Rekha Fernandes were present for the programme.
