Mangaluru: Ashwin Calen D’Silva qualifies to represent India in world skating events

Mangaluru, Dec 19: Ashwin Calen D’Silva from the city, bagged a bronze medal in 1000 mts Junior A (men) category at Asian Open Short Track Speed Skating Trophy, held in December first week in Jakarta, Indonesia, there by qualifying into big world events scheduled to take place shortly.

Ashwin qualified for the world junior championships in Montreal, Canada in January. He has also been qualified to represent India at the world cup which is to be held in Dresden, Germany in the month of February.

Ashwin is the son of Alwyn and Asha D’Silva.
