Mangaluru: Mangalore University scandal - government to seek report

Mangaluru, Dec 19: State higher education minister, G T Deve Gowda, promised to get report about the scandal which is said to have happened in Mangaluru University within four months and take suitable steps based on the report.

He was answering a question raised by BJP MLA from here, D Vedavyasa Kamath, on Tuesday December 18 at the question hour in the state assembly.

"Media had reported that Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad had demanded investigation. On that basis, we will be calling for thereport," the minster said.

Kamath on this occasion, expressed the view that it is not right to get a report from the official who himself was involved with the scandal.
