Mangaluru: United Christian Association holds Christmas Sauharda Sambhrama

Mangaluru, Dec 18: United Christian Association as part of Christmas Sauharda Sambhrama 2018 meant to strengthen communal harmony across religions presented a tableau in the city on December 16 proclaiming the message of the birth of Jesus Christ. Former MLA J R Lobo hoisted the flag with message of peace and set the procession in motion.

The tableau procession from Kulshekar proceeded via Hampankatta, Bejai and reached Kulshekar. A cultural programme was held at Silver Gate, Kulshekar. Jeevan Dan Gurpur in charge Sr Jessy, Ullal Darga Junior College principal Swarib Sakhafi, Kulshekar church parish priest Victor Machado and mayor Bhasker K were present.

The title deeds of five houses being built for poor families were handed over to them. Ivan of Nirkan unit was felicitated for his selfless service. UCA state president Alban Menezes chaired the programme. Office bearers Joyce Rebello, Silvester D’Souza Sasthan, Paul Lobo, Philip D’Souza, Clifford D’Souza and Joe Rego were present.



Roshan Crasta compered the programme which concluded after meals.
