Mangaluru: MP Nalin Kumar Kateel faces rivalry for tickets within party

Daijiworld Media Network – Mangaluru (EP)

Mangaluru, Dec 15: Political activities have intensified in the country as Lok Sabha elections are approaching. Political parties are thinking of election moves now itself. The exercise of selecting candidates has become brisk. Meanwhile, preparations in BJP and Congress have begun. Congress has begun the process of selecting able candidates. BJP has decided to send Nalin Kumar Kateel, who has won twice in a row forward. However, voices of dissent can be heard in BJP. Discussions supporting as well as opposing Kateel’s candidature have started.

It is said that eye specialist from Mangaluru and leader of BJP medical division Dr Sudhir Hegde is eager to contest from BJP. He has said that he is ready to contest election from Dakshina Kannada Lok Sabha constituency.

Speaking to reporters, he said that he is prepared to contest following persuasion from activists. “The decision to offer ticket is left to party leaders. I will work hard if I get an opportunity,” he said.

“Clean mind of Narendra Modi, his stand for the country and strong bold decisions are our inspiration. There are no two minds to serve the people according to the desire of party activists if the party gives an opportunity. I have sufficient experience in spiritual, educational and medical sectors. I aim to provide suitable education to youth together with awareness of health,” he said.

The statement of Dr Sudhir Hegde has given rise to discussions in Dakshina Kannada district BJP.

Besides Dr Sudhir Hegde, young BJP leader Brijesh Chowta is eyeing on the election ticket. Therefore, speculations are rife that ticket politics have started in DK BJP unit.

It is said that BJP does not want to issue tickets to controversial leaders. If that is the case, Nalin Kateel and Anant Kumar Hegde are likely to be deprived of it. There are also complaints that Nalin Kumar has neglected the constituency. Therefore, it is said that newcomers are likely to get a chance.

According to me,Let BJP field any candidate, whether on experience, education, efficiency base, public will vote only in the name Modi-Modi wave.Whole mass know only about Modi, his charisma, his capabilities and his boldness. They don't know the candidate he or she and their calibre, eductional background.People have their own opinion, decision, experience and taste. Whosoever the candidate, think twice before franchise your vote, select the right, educated and able
and clean image candidate, who can run the country smoothly without any prejudice with clean administration.Party does not count here.Whether it is congress,BJP,JDS or any other parties. No religion,no reservation and everything should be on merit basis.

But Modi would not prefer doctors and educated people to contest he would prefer Nalins class of people. But Doctor are sure to finish the flyover if your elected? But I do not think the Lotus will bloom in 2019.

Perfect example and role models of disaster for upcoming generations... Illiterate MP is ruling MDS doctor MLA of Suratkal...!!!
Choosing this illiterate MP we made a big mistake... Even he cant utter english or hindi... he cant even finish one pumpwell bridge...
Mangalore had a great chance to become an IT hub... unfortunately because of this feku MP and his agenda of dividing humans and supporting gooons spoiled image of Mangalore globally.
Truth is hard to digest .. however our illiterate MP is main reason for pushing mangalore back to rock age... This man should retire and give chance to any good , educated, civilized personality who can push mangalore to the World Map!

I think Chouta is a better candidate, educated and young and most important non-communal. Congress may have its chance couple of years later as people are on religion mode considering the last MLA election....though winners performance is zero so far. It will take time to get the brain unwashed by natural factors!!

The farmer distress, un-employment, liquidity problem, bad loan problems, communal hate-redness, ..etc., at micro level in unprecedented all across Hindustan...!!! All these negative parameters at national level are suppressed by biased Media..., being playing to the gallary of DOMBARATA lovers...!!!

When and where will BJPEEEEEEEEEEEEE find good candidates? God ones are all already burned up!

What we have now is not worth walking up to the Election Booth - Waste of time and a few more blisters for already retired feet.

I plan to relax rather than waste my time - why bother

Nalini never bothered nor cared? BJPEEEE has NOT earned my vote - they don't care! Why should I ???

This man won because of Modi wave. With fading Modi wave, such shallow people don't stand any chance. If you take up a post, you should be able add value to such post and not take benefit out of it or survive only because of it. This great MP has given controversial/ provocative statements and ignored development. Tell what is the major contribution form him in his tenor. Instead if Shri.Janardhan Poojary would have won, I'm sure there would have been visible work which he would have done. All Hindu people were decived by false propaganda. We citizens should act rationally and come above caste and religion propaganda created by political parties. Voting should be on development of constituency and not on cast or religion!
