Beltangady: Sacred Heart Pre-University College Madanthyar holds Annual Day celebration

Beltangady, Dec 15: The 37th Annual Day celebration of Sacred Heart Pre-University College, Madanthyar was held on December 10 at Sacred Heart Sabha Bhavan.

The programme commenced with a prayer dance.

Mohan Nayak - Headmaster, Sacred Heart High school welcomed the gathering.

Fr Jerome DSouza - Principal, SHPUC presented the report of the college.



Dr Ganesh Amin Sankamar - Head of the Kannada department, St Aloysius College, Mangaluru and Irene Mendonca - Principal, St Mary’s PUCollege, Shirva and Ronald Sequeira - vice president, Parish Pastoral Council, Madanthyar were the dignitaries of the programme.

Fr Basil Vas - Correspondent, Sacred Heart Institutions, presided over the celebrations. The annual prize distribution was held on that momentous occasion. Students who excelled in sports and games, academics and co-curricular activities received prizes from the chief guests as well as from the president of the programme. Leo Noronha proposed the vote of thanks.

Vincent Rodrigues - Lecturer (History) and Renisha Veigas - Lecturer (Commerce) were the master of ceremonies and in the noon, a variety entertainment programme from SHPUC students was held. More than 1,039 students and parents and guardians of the students were present on the occasion.
