Karwar, Oct 11: Minister Anant Kumar Hegde who is always in news due to his controversial statements is yet again in news.

Speaking at the special executive meeting held in Sirsi, he said, “Some among you or the ones who made you vote for me, may ask me if I am indulging in politics. I am sitting here for politics. Why else does anyone join politics? We become taluk president, taluk chief secretary, district committee member, MLA or MP because of that. We can do nothing other than politics. We have to only indulge in politics after coming to politics,” he said.

“I have not occupied this chair for social work. We are sitting here for politics. Media is free to write what they like. We can assume that it is their wish and cannot consider that as a setback,” he said.

    If they win by EVM what is the need of social work.

    vajpayee failed in admin becoz no developments in his 5 year term. becoz of kargil v lost thousands of soldiers which never happened in 2 india pakistan wars. bofors guns were used successfully in kargil war. he pocketed coffins commissions. so g. fernandes was given clean chit.
