Mangaluru, Oct 9: There is no looking back for Konkani drama ‘Vechogi Ravncho’ by Saangon Mugdana Kalakar under the leadership of ‘Haasy Raay Kunvar’ Pradeep Barboza Paladka. After successful houseful shows in Dubai, Kinnigoli, Udupi and Abu Dhabi, Saangon Mugdana Kalakar team is all set to travel back to the coast for three back to back shows which are on huge public demand.
The audience of Mangaluru, Moodbidri and Karkala can look forward to a fabulous Christmas package as all the three shows are scheduled for December 14, 15 and 16 respectively. Oasis Creation in association with Oasis Caterers and Arrangers, Merlapadav, here under the leadership of William Saldanha and Ivan Saldanha will organise the drama at Don Bosco Hall Mangaluru on December 16 at 5.30 pm.
A major supporter of Pradeep Barboza, Lancy Pinto from Doha, Qatar along with his family Anitha and Leon will organise the show on December 15 in association with ICYM Moodbidri deanery and Saangon Mugdana Kalakar team Moodbidri. This show will be staged at Alangar church ground at 6.00 pm. Saangon Mugdana Kalakar will perform this show in aid of 'Daya Special Children Centre', a unit of Capuchin Krishik Seva Kendra.
The troupe's premier show is scheduled for December 14 at Karkala and organised by Miyar – Karkala parishioners. Further details will be announced later.
The story of the drama revolves around a bus stop and two shops attached to it in rural Mangaluru. The drama is a blend of family and love story, comedy and suspense.
As the climax approaches, the script takes on an interesting turn that compels the audience to anticipate alternate endings. The drama is written and directed by ‘Haasy Raay Kunvar’ Pradeep Barboza Paladka. Other than Pradeep Barboza, Alphonse D’Souza Moodubelle, Godwin Castelino Attur, Royston Kiran D’Souza Balkunje, Vernon D’Souza Bajjodi, Paul D’Souza Paladka, Nanu Marol Thottam, Helvin Barboza Kulur, Laveena Fernandes Pangala and Venicia Rodrigues Alangar have performed in the drama.
The wonderful music rendered by Rohan Lobo Kalakul is a special attraction that will mesmerize the audience.
