Bengaluru, Sep 26: The state high court (HC), on Tuesday September 25, lifted the stay it had earlier issued against continuing with the construction of 'Punarvasu Bhavan' building in a disputed site at Girinagar here by Ramachandapur Math, Hosanagara.

The HC bench presided over by Justice Vineet Kothari, which heard the petition filed by the Math, vacated the stay order. However, it  clarified that the building construction will be subject to the final order the court in this case.

At the same time, the court dropped the names of original complainants in the case, M Pavan Prasad and S Shivakumar, from the list of defendants. The bench also rejected the plea made by Vishwabharati Housing Cooperative Society seeking to include them as defendants. The HC has already issued interim stay against the order passed by the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike commissioner, rejecting the registration of the Khata pertaining to this building.
