Mumbai poet Gopal Trasi honoured in America

Mumbai, Sep 26: Mumbai's Kannada poet Gopal Trasi presented two poems titled Hunnime-Abhagna and Holi in the tenth Akka Vishwa Kannada conference held at Dallas, America recently. The ten-day long conference was held by Association of Kannada Kootas of America under the aegis of north Texas Mallige Kannada Koota.

Gopala Trasi was honored by Akka Samithi president Amarnath Gowda and Akka organization president Shivamurthy by presenting mementos. Montgomeri country state council presented a certificate to him. Trasi said that the honor is for the talent of Mumbai's night school.



Kannadiga patrakartara Sangha Maharastra member and sports person Trasi is the son of Linga Poojary and Muthu Poojary of Udupi. He stays with wife Savita Gopal and children Druv and Apoorva at Charkop, Kandivli west.
