Udupi, Sep 26: A man died inside his house on an unknown day and his body was discovered on Tuesday, September 25.

Patrick Herald Lewis (70) is the deceased person. He was 70.

Patrick Herald Lewis stayed alone at his house near the river in Kallianpur. His brother and sister stayed in Bengaluru. Fredrick was not spotted anywhere from past few days. The neighbours went to the house after a foul smell began to emanate from there. They found the dead body inside and called police.

As per police, Fredrick made a last call from his mobile on September 14.

The body has been sent to Manipal for post-mortem.

Malpe police have registered a case.

    In this case Mr. Patrick was unmarried and was living alone.

    Even then Udupi and DK have mostly become a place for retired, as children have to go out in search of employment.

    There is not enough jobs in our districts and also in nearby districts for the educated youth of this region.

    Lot of homes have only elderly and they have to manage themselves in their advanced age.

    Industrialists, authorities, peoples's representatives, people of the region have to join together to plan an over development of the region to create ample employment opportunities for the local educated youth here itself.

    What is the distance between the diseased's house and his immediate neighbour ? How come we become so self-centered, and forget even to notice that a person living nearby has not got out of the house for so many days ? Very bad.
