Byndoor, Sep 26: A motor bike rider was killed and four others suffered injuries, after a van hit a motor bike at Geru Hadi at the road bend in Idur village within the limits of Kollur police station on the afternoon of Monday September 24.
The deceased has been identified as Sathish, who was riding the motor bike. The pillion rider, Prakash, van driver, Rohit, and two others who were in the van, namely Sumukh and Srinivas, were injured. They are being treated in a private hospital at Kundapur.
The van was moving towards Kundapur from the direction of Kollur while the motor bike was going towards Kollur from the direction of Chittoor, reports stated. Sathish, who fell to the road, suffered grievous injuries. He died when being carried to the hospital.
A case about the accident stands registered in Kollur police station.
