Mangaluru, Sep 25: NSS unit of the Roshni Nilaya celebrated NSS day and inaugurated the golden jubilee year celebrations on September 24 at the college auditorium.
The principal, Juliet C J presided over the function.
Vice principal, Dr Jenis Mary, registrar (evaluation), Dr L N Bhat and NSS coordinator of Mangalore University, Prof Vineetha K were the guests of honour.
NSS officer Prof Cecilia Goveas and assistant NSS officer Sandeep U felicitated the programme.
The inauguration was followed by Shramadhan in Valencia neighbourhood.
Later a guest lecture by assistant professor Eveleen Benis, MSW faculty of School of Social Work on 'Segregation of waste' was organised. An activity emphasising team building was organised in the afternoon.
