Mangaluru, Sep 25: Applications/recommendations are invited from Konkani artistes of Karnataka origin of any dialect, religion, caste and creed for the annual ‘Kalakar Puraskar’ awarded by Mandd Sobhann in association with Carvalho Gharannem.
The award includes Rs 25,000 cash, memento, certificate and public honour.
The 14th Kalakar Puraskar will be presented at Kalaangann on November 4 at 6 pm.
It is decided that this year an artiste of Karnataka origin, who has specially contributed toward the enrichment of Konkani performing arts (music, dance, theatre, or folk-art) be selected for the award.
Applications/recommendations along with a photo, list of achievements, proof and paper cuttings should be sent to – Mandd Sobhann, Kalaangann, Makale, Shaktinagar, Mangaluru – 575 016, by October 20.
