Till now no compensation has been given to the families affected. The works undertaken by the company is unscientific. The locals here do not have any information regarding the strategic crude oil reserve. The engineers are giving false information to the people. There are chances adverse effects on health of the locals, since several oil pipes are damaged. But the officials and representatives have taken no action in this regard."

He also demanded state and the central government to release compensation immediately.

Irene Tauro, president of women's wing of Seva Samiti, said, "We have been working in this area for the last 30 years. My house was also damaged during the stone work. My husband died due to cardiac arrest after our house was damaged. We have not received any compensation. No political leader has responded in this regard."
