Kundapur: Protests held alleging irregularities in SCDCC bank staff recruitment

Kundapur, Sep 25: Protests were held on Monday, September 24 by pro people campaign committee in Kundapur alleging injustice to young people and farmers in undivided Dakshina Kannada district in recruitment of staff for South Canara District Central Co-Operative (SCDCC) Bank.

Applications were invited for the posts of 125 clerks and two computer operators in the bank. The protesters urged for re-examination of the candidates in the presence of deputy commissioner alleging likelihood of irregularities in their recruitment.



Protesters said that the employees of the organization have fallen on the road as there were unfair means adopted during registration of SKACMS Limited as private limited company and urged the state government to establish SKACMS Limited.

As the protests held under the banner of pro people campaign committee was not allowed to protest in front of the bank, a memorandum was submitted to opposition party leader Kota Srinivas Poojary in front of Pariveekshana Bungalow.
