Kasargod, Sep 24: A train passenger was drugged and robbed of gold and valuables by his co passenger on Monday, September 24. Pakakkad resident Arun who was returning from Mumbai to his hometown is the victim.

Arun had been to Mumbai looking for job a few days ago. The incident took place when he was returning by Howrah Express train as he did not find a job.

A passenger speaking in Hindi who got acquainted with him gave him biscuits in the train. He became unconscious soon after eating them. He has come back to senses only after reaching Kasargod.

One and half sovereign gold Jewellery on him and a purse containing two and half thousand rupees cash, ATM card etc were robbed. He lodged a complaint at Kasargod railway station. Police admitted him at Kasargod general hospital.

    @Anand Kumar Mangalore,simple.probably victim was wearing a gold chain .Best is not to wear any jewellary on travelling to show your wealth.second dont accept any foodstuffs from a ny co -travellers.everyone can travel without food ,or can afford a tea or bread to buy.Many times ,it happened ,such biscuits were offered or tea etc.o n bus train,later to the victims of robbery.
