Bengaluru: There is no threat to coalition government – Deve Gowda

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (RJP)

Bengaluru, Sep 24: Former Prime Minister and JD(S) national president, H D Deve Gowda said that the coalition government will complete its term.

He was speaking after launching various development works taken up at a cost of Rs 1,650 crore, in Hassan district on Sunday, September 23.

"Coalition coordination committee chairman Siddaramaiah himself has assured that there is no danger for the coalition government. So, there is no need to create confusion among the people about the survival of the coalition government," Deve Gowda said.

"Siddaramaiah, who was a close confidante once, joined Congress party due to various reasons then. He became the chief minister later. But, he has now ensured that there will not be any problem for the coalition government and will complete five years term,” he added.

“Congress, which has a history of 130 years, has the ability to resolve the issues," he said.

“Atal Bihari Vajpayee was Prime Minister for 13 days. However, he ensured the smooth functioning of the House when I was the Prime Minister. Yeddyurappa should understand this. Kumaraswamy came to power after Yeddyurappa failed to prove majority,” Gowda said.
