Corporation officers are responsible for these kind of extension work. they must inspect the existing skeleton is good enough to bear the additional load or not. but our corporation has 1 commissioner,
1-1/2 executive engineer and he is having 555 responsibilities and 2 technical staff may be , and they are busy with million works. Totally unlawful team, Totally uneducated mentality and Totally irresponsible characters.

They issue extension permits without knowing the fact. One influential or one MLA call comes; then they grant permissions. This is what our local body. they are always busy, there is a time the public meeting between 3.30 m till 5.30pm .

but hardly they available in the office. but they definitely available in the office ONE DAY BEFORE THE PUBLIC HOLIDAY OR SATURDAY TO SAY " Nale raje, nadadhu banni" and if you go nadadhu.........again they are busy.........
Mangalore will improve when corporation office slab falls down......

That is where Ex Mayor Kavita was outstanding

But not the present Mayor, though from the same Congress Party.

even the balconies of a building are converted to rooms, and many across the city are taking advantage of illegal constructions

Nowadays these contractors are not qualified, they work under some big contractors and say they got experience. And they get small contracts like this and kill the people. These contractors do the work for less amount. It is Hotel owners mistake.
