Bengaluru: Actor Upendra launches new political party on his birthday

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Sep 19: Popular cine actor Upendra who celebrated his 50th birthday on September 18, launched his new political party on the same day.

Upendra launched his new party 'Uttama Prajakiya Paksha' for the public. He said, “Let my birthday be UPP (Uttama Prajakiya Paksha) birthday in future.”

The launching of the party was very unique. Four letters of UPPI were kept on the dais. Out of which the letter 'I' was burnt. Upendra said, "’I’ (ego) should go. Today the day which I waited for 15 to 20 years has come to remove ‘I’. There will be no birthday of Uppi in future. These many years my fans celebrated my birthday. So I have prepared a dais called UPP today for my fans. They told me that in future September 18 will be UPP’s birthday."

"A year ago we came with the idea of Prajakiya. However, many unforeseen events took place after that. The situation of joining some other political party arose. So we could not contest the last assembly elections. Everything happens for good. Now we have registered our own party. That is Uttama Prajakiya Paksha," Upendra added.

How the UPP works?

The party will work to convert the present business politics into professional Prajakiya. Any aspirant who would like to contest from the UPP for the gram panchayat election should make a video of each and every issue of the said village, propose their ideas (applicable to city areas also), discuss the same with the villagers, then discuss the same with experts for the required budget and time frame and send the video to the website www.prajakeeya.org. MLAs and MPs also should discuss with the experts keeping in mind similar ideas and send videos after finalising the same.

Scores of fans were present for the inauguration of UPP.

More options for voters, but unfortunately most of the voters sell their votes for monetary benefits like freebies or else they will vote on caste/religious lines.

all the best good concept of making video documents of the village area and identifying the issues before for a person who want to contest the elections, after all this, will it work I have doubts.
devolvement can't get votes. I think upendra should be more realistic Indians have never and ever will support parties that want to bring changes in society.
AAP is one such example.kejriwal realised after he became CM how difficult it is to rule.
