Mangaluru, Sep 18: In a tragic twist of fate, a man who celebrated his 50th wedding anniversary in a grand manner, died after a day.

Joseph Alvares (79), a resident of Pachanady is the deceased person.

Joseph was all excited to celebrate his 50th wedding anniversary which was arranged at Bondel Church hall on Sunday, September 16.

After the thanks giving Mass which held at St Lawrence Church, Bondel, he was the main attraction of a programme arranged by his children and close relatives. It was a grand event and many close to Joseph and his family attended the programme. Being a healthy person, Joseph participated actively in the Mass and the grand event which followed. An elated Joseph thanked everyone who came to wish him. He even danced in the event with his family and friends.

After the celebration, he went home and was engaged in routine works at his residence. In the night before dinner, he felt some pain in his chest. His children immediately rushed him to a private hospital in the city. He breathed his last in hospital on Monday, September 17.

Joseph is survived by his wife Irene Alvares, two sons and a daughter.

Joseph was well-known in the region for agriculture and community leadership.

Condolences to Anand and Alwares family.

Fully agree with R Bhandarkar, Mangaluru, and would like to go with the caption suggested by him "life fully lived"
Surely Joseph Alwares is a great guy to deserve such a death, after celebrating his joy with his loved ones he could pass away.
The family will miss him, but surely they will remember the joyful moments for ever.

He was my sweet maternal uncle who joyfully lived his life for 79 years & a married life for 50 years.
My uncle was known for his `Signature Dance' with an unmatched stamina. He would continuously dance for hours without a break. He was a talented actor, a writer and above all a hard core agriculturist.
Aunty Irene, Alwyn,Shanthi ,Anand & family members, I can`t console you with my words, but I surely believe that he is dancing in Heaven to the tune of GOD almighty.
May Almighty give you strength to bear this great loss.
May his soul rest in peace.

Death is certain for all beings, born. He was lucky to celebrate 50 years with his relatives friends and others. He has seen his grandchildren too. It is always good to have end when we are healthy . Really lucky man. He and his family must really thank the Lord without fail.

From watching the event pics, it is understood that late Joseph was in jolly good mood on the occasion and rejoiced every moment of the special day. Possibly, over exerted with dancing mood. Happy and Sad times!

Not many people are blessed to go the way Mr.Joseph did.
Surrounded by his own ,near and dear ones . That too after celebrating 50 years of togetherness and bliss along with his wife. The caption Joy Short Lived in this context can also be charged to A Life Fully Lived.
It's a loss to the family no doubt but then ultimately you should be grateful and thankful to the Lord for whatever he has given. He decides the best.
One cannot go on forever ,there has to be a permanent stop.
God grant peace and strength to the family.
