Mangaluru, Sep 17: Sudeeksha Kiran Suvarna was crowned as ‘Mrs Mangalore 2018’ in the grand finale of the beauty pageant event held at Hotel BMS on September 15.
Hera Pinto and Angelita Lewis bagged first and second runner-up respectively.
As many as 20 finalists battled it out for the crown. The finalists had to walk the ramp, face introduction round and question and answer round.
Actor Anoop Sagar, Venkat Charan Shetty and Pallavi Gurukiran Shetty were the judges of grand final.
JCI conducted ‘JCI week’ from September 9 to 15 and was involved in various activities throughout the week which culminated with ‘Mrs Mangalore 2018’.
Former executive vice-president of JCI India Sadananda Navada inaugurated the event.
Addressing the gathering, Sadananda Navada said, “We have conducted JCI week which focuses on building leadership qualities and social service through entertainment.”
Former zonal president Aravinda Rao Kedige said, "It is a pleasure to be part of this event led by Soujanya Hegde. This programme is of international standard and is on a different level altogether. I wish the very best to the entire team.”
President of JCI Lalbagh Soujanya Hegde was also present. The event was compered by RJ Anurag.
