Kalaburagi, Sep 17: "All the developments that are taking place in the state politics is the creation of state BJP leaders. There will not be any effect on the government due to the intervention of the former CM Siddaramaiah. If the high command wishes, I am ready to become the chief minister,' said D K Shivakumar, water resources minister.

DKS was speaking to the press after offering pooja to Lord Dattatreya at Sukshetra Devala Ganagapura at Afzalpur taluk near here on Sunday, September 16. Continuing his address, DKS said, "The coalition government of Congress and JD (S) has come into existence according to the order of AICC president Rahul Gandhi. I have been harassed unnecessarily, even though I have not committed any mistake. I have faith in God. I am not scared of anyone except God. I am confident that God will serve justice. BJP is hatching plan to bring down the coalition government. I am ready to be the chief minister of the state if the high command wishes."

"BJP leaders are excited to bring down the coalition government. They have contacted 15 to 16 MLAs of Congress including B C Patil and Rahim in the name of 'Operation Kamala'. Still, things are not going their way. That is why they are silent now. They are accusing coalition government without any reason and trying to create chaos in the mind of people. If we speed up, there is a chance of an accident. So the coalition government is taking steps slowly," he added.

DKS had made a vow that he will offer pooja to Lord Dattatreya if he gets bail in the IT raid issue. Accordingly, he offered special pooja on the morning of Sunday, September 16 and partook in the Annasantharpane also.

Chief minister also to offer pooja to Lord Dattatreya

H D Kumaraswamy, chief minister of the state will arrive at Afzalpur on Monday, September 17 to seek blessings of Lord Dattatreya of Devalaganagapura. The CM will hoist the flag at Hyderabad - Karnataka Liberation Day and then visit the temple and seek the blessings of Lord Dattatreya.
