Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (SP)

Bengaluru, Sep 16: 'Real Star', popular Kannada cine actor, Upendra, is all set to re-enter the political field after being in hiberanatio for some time subsequent to ambitious announcement of his own political party. His new party, 'Uttama Prajakiya Party' is all set to be launched on September 18, which happens to be Upendra's birthday.

Upendra plans to bring high level of democratic policies in practice through his political outfit. His ideas include doing away with petty politics that is injurious to democratic system, and bringing in transparency and corruption-free administration. Upendra will be officially announcing the setting up of his new party on the occasion of his birthday celebrations.

Upendra had made preparations to enter the fray during the state assembly election this year with his 'Karnataka Prajnavanta Janata Party (KPJP)' and also had chosen his candidates for the election. However, after differences cropped between him and KPJP founder, Mahesh Gowda, on certain issues, he had walked out of this party on March 5 this year. After that, he had registered his 'Uttama Prajakiya Party' with the election commission.

Upendra has said that his concepts will remain the same. He wants to interview candidates for the election on the basis of write-ups on problems and their solutions relating to individual constituencies prepared by the willing candidates. In all possibility Upendra might bring in glamour to his party in the form of film stars. It is said that many established actors will support Upendra. There is also information that stars currently associated with KPJP might change loyalties. Official information about these things will be made known after the party is launched.
