No one can beat Modi in 2019 polls: Minister

Kolkata, Sep 14 (IANS): Union Minister and senior BJP leader Harsh Vardhan on Friday said Prime Minister Narendra Modi was politically invincible and there was no one to throw a challenge to him in next year's general elections.

"There is no one who can beat Narendra Modi... I do not think there is any challenge to him in 2019 (elections)," Vardhan said here.

The Modi-led central government is under attack from the opposition over the depreciating rupee against the dollar, soaring fuel prices and the Vijay Mallya case.

The Minister for Environment and Forest said that the Centre was focusing on the northeastern states right from the day it came to power in May 2014 because "during the last 50-60 years, these states did not receive the importance they deserved".

"Every Ministry has formulated policies and schemes for the northeast. Everyone implemented them. People of the northeast have recognised and acknowledged it," Vardhan said, adding that the Centre remains "passionate" about this region.

The Minister, who also holds the Science and Technology portfolio, on Friday inaugurated a curtain-raiser at the CSIR-Central Glass and Ceramic Research Institute here for the India International Science Festival 2018 in Lucknow from October 5-8.

Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the student-wing of the RSS, on Thursday won three out of four posts in the Delhi University Students’ Union amidst serious allegations of EVM tampering.

Thursday’s counting was marred with serious allegations of EVM fraud as a number of votes were found to have gone in favour of non-existent candidate. One of the EVM used for DUSU Election 2018 Secretary seat polling was showing 400 votes on ballot no. 10, while the machine had only 8 candidates with number 9 slot being NOTA. Remember, the same EVMs will be used in 2019 Lok Sabha elections.

In its clarification, the EC astonishingly said that the DU authorities had obtained the voting machines privately, raising serious doubts on the fairness of the DU elections.

Delhi University is just a trailer ahead of Lok Sabha polls. This is the same university from which Prime Minister Modi received his graduation which is yet be disclosed despite several RTI applications.

No party can match their might on the ground. Their money, muscle and mobilisation capacity are just unmatchable. Plus, they are the national party. They can sell big dreams to the voters. Besides, they have very successfully divided into Hindu and Muslims. So weak opposition, paid media and bureaucracy in hand 2019 seems to easy task.

All the Best Modi Ji. Winning a majority in 2019 is out of question. It will be a coalition Govt of the opposition parties at the centre. Coalition Govts will ensure checks and balances and will be more responsive to the needs and aspirations of the common man.

What we have witnessed of a single party rule is that they care two hoots to the common man.

We normally comment based on our knowledge and understanding of a given issue.

In this, Sri only Modi and fellow Bakhts, so he can only comment on these few people, looks like he (hopefully not she) has never taken time to learn and know about leaders, common people issues and governance in the country.

Shame on BJP Leadership and Andha Bakhts, will be a huge loss in 2019 with less than 100 seats to understand the mistakes and failures.

    Cheers.....
