Mumbai, Sep 13: Vasai Konkani Welfare Association celebrated its 10th Monti Fest of September 8 at Vishwakarman hall, Vasai West.

The programme started with short procession with decorated Maria Bambina statue and prayer by Theresa Fernandes.

The cultural stage programme was well compered by Oliver Dsouza Angelore.

During stage programme, association members children who secured 75% and above in 10th and 12th std during academic year 2017-18 were felicitated. Prizes were distributed to all 1st and 2nd winners of Konkani talent competition.



Fr Ramesh D’Souza, former president Steepen Fernandez and Ancy Dsouza Paldka, advisor Joseie Menezes and Barkur Konkani Association president Ivan Rebello were present. Fr Ramesh D’Souza blessed milk mixed with Noven and also grace the meal. The programme ended with singing Laudate.

VKWA secretary Joun Dsouza handled the stage programme. President Reginald Santhmayer rendered the vote of thanks.

Purely Manglurean traditional food made by Jim Catering was served on banana leaf.
