Mangaluru: Youth from Karkala marries American girl at Kateel Temple

Mangaluru, Sep 11: In a rare incident that took place at Kateel Sri Durgaparameshwari Temple, a young man from Karkala married an American girl and entered into wedded life in as per Hindu tradition.

Some years ago, when the groom Sushant Nayak, a resident of Anantashayana in Karkala had been to Delhi on some professional assignment, he had met Tamrah, a resident of America. Later their friendship turned into an affair and they decided to get married.

When Tamrah informed her parents about her love towards Sushant, her parents agreed to their wedding. Accordingly, both of them got married in a simple ceremony at the temple.

Only the groom's family and friends were present at the wedding as the parents of Tamrah could not take part in the ceremony. Tamrah is working for a prestigious private company in America and Sushant Nayak is working as a video editor. Tamrah said that she fell completely in love with the Indian tradition and culture and decided to marry an Indian youth.
