Gratian D’Souza speaking on the album said, “After a long break, I am writing lyrics and composing tunes. When I was active in Mangaluru Paradela, I had presented many shows in Mangaluru and other parts of the state. There was a huge demand for a new album after ‘Angelina’. When I moved to Kuwait, many of my friends suggested producing a musical album. But due to personal commitments, I could not work on it. Now after finding enough time, I have produced ‘Salam Tuka Kuwaita’. In this album, I have tried to express the emotions of people working in Kuwait and also the songs in this album contain the flavour of my native place.”

The video version of Gratian’s ‘Angelina’ has been released on You Tube. ‘Angelina’ is one of the super hit Konkani songs from the album ‘Sapna Sundari’, sung by Rony D’Cunha who bagged the best singer award in Desert Music Awards from Little Flowers Mukamar. The album also bagged an award in the ‘Best Album’ category.

Melwyn Lobo and Lloyd Colaco were the music composers of the memorable song. Merwin D’Souza and Sweeny Maria D’Souza featured in the video of the song. DCS (Daijiworld Creative Services) handled the production work of the video song. Santhosh Raj handled the camera while editing was done by Noel D’Souza. Daniel was the co-ordinator.

Gratian is a good friend of mine, but more than that I am a big fan of his songs and specially his composing. Since the early days of 'Paradela' he has proven through many of his songs, with free flowing, heart-touching lyrics and matching melodies, that he is one of the top composer of Mangalorean Konkani Songs. I am sure this CD 'Salam Tuka Kuwaita' also will be a hit with young and old. The video of his song 'Anjelina' has come out super... super, a feast to the ears and eyes. Congratulations.

All the very best Gratian for your dream project "Salam Tuka Kuwaita".

There are lot of Paradela's unheard songs in volumes . If you bring them in one volume , will be great and there will be possitive response from listeners. .
