Bantwal: Five masked men loot valuables at knifepoint

Bantwal, Aug 21: Day after the loot that happened in a house in Modankap near here, a similar scary incident has been reported from Kamalkatte near Loretto Padav on the wee hours of Tuesday, August 21.

A gang of five masked men entered the house of Jacob Rodrigues at around 1.30 am by breaking the back door. They tied Jacob and his daughter at knifepoint and looted jewellery, watch, mobile, mangalsutra and finger ring. After looting the valuables, the gang fled from the house, says the complaint.



Bantwal police are investigating the case.

    Looks like very close friends or relatives who knew about their wealth.Just observe the persons who might have come to an unusual wealth and you know where from.We have to watch now everynow each and everybody .sad that their money and gold was stolen.Otherwise how can they know where is backdoor and frontetc?with their voice did they atleast could makeout?

    I am sure, in this house, there was not dog. If they had a dog, at least it could have tried to protect the family members.
    Secondly, why the house holder kept the gold inside the house. They could have kept it in the bank locker with insurance coverage. In most of the houses, whether it is back door or window, the window frame and grills are not at all strong and protective from out siders.

    They are known to the police who involved in several cases and granted bail ! our judiciary system is indirectly supporting the act of criminal. There are no severe punishment for those who involved in cheating, robbers, street rowdies etc etc this maniac will not solved unless there are no changes in judiciary system which found often granting bail them to motivate further commit grave crime !
