Bengaluru: I am not against Hindus or Dalits, says Siddaramaiah

Daijiworld Media Network - Bengaluru (MS)

Bengaluru, Aug 20: "I was defeated in Chamundeshwari constituency due to the false propaganda about me that I play religious politics," said disgruntled former chief minister (CM) Siddaramaiah.

He was speaking after inaugurating the 'Pratibha Puraskara' programme organized by Karnataka Pradesh Kurubara Sangha in the city on Sunday, August 19.

Continuing his address, Siddaramaiah said, "I have brought several projects when I was the CM keeping in mind the needs of people of all communities and castes. I managed the administration of the state without favouring any particular caste. I am neither against Dalits nor Hindus. I am also a Hindu. I love everyone,”

Siddaramaiah condemned the statement given by MLC Raghunath Malkapure in which he accused the former CM and said, "If Siddaramaiah is given an opportunity, he will take a delegation to the Prime Minister asking him to include the Kuruba community to scheduled tribe category,"

Taking on Raghunath's statement, Siddaramaiah said, "It is practically impossible to add Kuruba community to the scheduled tribe category. This does not mean that I am against the tribe. I am for the social justice of all the tribes of people,"

"It is not right to give wrong information to the public with regards to this issue. However, the reservation could have been increased. If I was the CM this time also, I would have taken a decision on increasing the reservation,"

Taunting at H Vishwanath, state president of JD (S), Siddaramaiah, said "Some people go around saying that I only brought Siddaramaiah to the Congress party. I was brought to the Congress party by Ahmed Patel. Others in Congress welcomed me only after I joined the party. There is a limit for lying. There will not be any political mileage because of these kinds of statements. These kinds of statements are given to malign me in the eyes of the public."

Its not only one blunder of starting tippu jayanthi.... he also did a big mistake by entering a temple and anouncing that he had non veg and entered the temple.. which hurt many of the hindus temple..
Not everyone one in every religion follow few customs.. but when when its important to Hindus to not enter temple having non veg... he should not have openly agreed that... ofcourse its our belief and its like shattering our belief purposely just to appease some other community.... There are few hindus who eat beaf. and there are few muslime who eat pork and have alchohol... so it does not mean that if few have everyone should.... few beliefs of few religion should be respected.. Siddaramaiia should learn that first

Those murderers, rapists and criminals can enter the temples...What a joke. Yediyurappa, Amit Shah, Raghupati Bhat, Modi are sanths to enter the temple. God did not tell eat this....don't eat this. Treating every human as his brother or sister is the motive of all religions and creating fight between religions God did not want this.

Rightly said Surendraji. Purity of heart and soul is everything. People carry a load of sins and make a big farce by entering religious places. All the scriptures say keep your body and mind pure and clean. Rest all are man made rules.

Karnataka has already taken the call in the last RS elections. Your huge loss at home reflects the mood of the people when it comes to Cong. You are insignificant. Most probably your career has come to an end. Its either BJP or a non -Cong opposition that would call the shots. Laxman/Mluru.

    Dear Siddanna,
You made only one mistake. You gave a religious colour to the history of Tippu sultan.
and celebrated Tippu Jayanti which is unwanted.
This is costed you too much. Nothing else.

By giving clarification to this negative propaganda you are falling in the trap set by BJP and Sangh Parivar.
We Kanndigas just want good work carried during in your tenure. The best way to tackle this is asking more question on development and remaining silent on religious subject.

The flood currently in Kerala which spared no one and it doesn't care whatever religion you belongs to! People should realize the truth is life is once and enjoy the most. Nature just wanted to remind to the humankind once again ! No party, No Bhasana, No Bakwas and for that matter even NARENDAR DOMODAR MODIJI cant save the people if the Natural Calamity happens in any corner of the country!

Mr.Siddha, So please stop religion politics and there is no DALIT existed in the world and for the dalit every options is available to become progress in life. Dont stick for the tag of dalit which you can get the privileges as this money comes from the same upper cast and you better realize that you are in that same stage which you used to 1000 years back !!

He was not playing religion game ,,Its BJP & hindu outfits who were labeling him
He w as supporting dalit groups who BJP Hindu outfits had labeled.
He was supporting people who were in need.
Who made these upper class lower class. is it Siddhu..
    ??
See the difference during his time as CM & now??
During this time of floods he would have done lots of things.. he would have been for the needy people.in fact he was a good administrator. But our present CM busy reading paper in helicopter..He visits Kodagu after three days..
If really or people would have seen the improvement Karnataka Mr. Siddhu would have come back but its unfortunate
