If anyone wants to donate cash for flood victims, donate to established charitable organizations like Red Cross etc. where there is accountability. Demand a genuine receipt for your donation and see if it is tax deductible. Most liquor bars will be having brisk business, if you donate your money to unauthorized organization. Demand receipt. Demand total amount collected. Demand how it is disbursed.

Dear friends whoever wants to help the flood victims should know whom to give. There are many people in town without any permission collecting in kind and cash. There are children collecting cash in the name of flood victims. There are people near the PF office Silva road collecting items in the name of Kerala floods without permission or authorised letter. Fraud party looks like. The Police should look into it. When questioned they mention some small time politician. Why should they collect in the name of Kerala not Kodagu, Sullia.

Kudos to the spirit of Coastal Karnataka people, even though we suffered from heavy rain and flood still we are doing best to our neighbors.

It is good to see unity among people during natural calamities. But this spirit should continue during normal days too.
