Mangaluru: National-level inter-collegiate fest 'Navarang' inaugurated at Milagres College

Mangaluru Aug 18: General Manager of Hotel Taj Gateway, Peter Nirmal inaugurated the national-level inter-collegiate fest 'Navarang 2018' for PU students at Milagres College Auditorium in city on Saturday August 18, presented by department of hospitality science and food nutrition dietetics.

Addressing the gathering Peter Nirmal said, "Dietetics is a special subject that discovers healthy food for a healthy living. We are more concerned about our health to stay fit. We need to follow diet in proper manner by consuming healthy food,”



“There are different professions under hospitality such as aviation, airlines and many more. You need to develop core skills and competence. Grooming is the key factor in hospitality to present yourself in right manner. At the same time develop oral and written communication skills to create best impression. To be more successful in your career, be focused and work hard. Put up the effort that can lead to success,” he added.

Various competitions are being held in this feast like Rangoli, face painting, collage making, solo singing, photography, art out of waste, cooking without fire, pencil sketching and flower arrangement, in which colleges from in and around Mangaluru are taking part. .

Principal of Milagres College Fr Michael Santhumayor welcomed the gathering, Student coordinator Primus D’Souza rendered vote of thanks and Elton compered the programme.

Academic adviser Prof Lourdswamy, vice president of parish pastoral council Cecilia Pereira, Staff convenor Denzil Celestine D Costa, Staff coordinator Melwin James D Souza and others were present.
