It's good to see that everyone in the comment sections have humanity.
I request all of you to donate at least a Rs. 100 on the Kerala Chief Ministers Disaster Relief Fund. It may not be much but if atleast 20 people from here donate Rs.100 on average, you could probably be of help to people out there suffering right now as you read this comment.

And I sincerely request the Daijiworld Team to promote the Kerala Chief Ministers Disaster Relief Fund free of cost And make it the pinned post for a week. This good deed of yours could probably help save a lot of lives who lost their homes.

Ecologist, Madhav Gadgil had suggested environmental protection in these areas.
Kerala government rejected the committee report.
Extensive quarrying, forest land acquisitions are reasons for the recent calamity.
Kerala has been facing unusually high rainfall since early August, which has led to statewide floods killing hundreds and causing severe damage.

At least 167 people have lost their lives and over two lakh people are in relief camps.

Most of the regions impacted by this monsoon were once classified as ecologically-sensitive zones (ESZs) by the Western Ghats Ecology Expert Panel (WGEEP), also known as the Gadgil Committee

While empathizing with those trapped and wishing them a safe exit, natural calamities occur at regular intervals throughout the world at regular intervals to cleanse Mother Nature! Many of these calamities during heavy rains are due to "rape" of Mother Nature by greedy humans!

Nature never discriminates, it's neutral! It's a big myth that miracles will save them! If miracle was to happen, these devotees would not have got trapped in the first place!

We need to remove our horse BLINDERS and think rationally as science advances rapidly!!

Wrong was done by the government of Kerala the past and present government of Kerala by rejecting the Gadgil committee report on western ghats and eco sensitive zones. Rudolf, True sooner people & government become sensitive about the nature it is better. Even we in Dakshina Kannada & Udupi districts can face this if Gadgil committee report is not implemented here. Politicians are only behind money & votes. Money from illegal mining & quarrying and votes of people who have built houses in these zones.
