Mangaluru: Newly renovated Prabhath theatre inaugurated

Mangaluru Aug 16: One of city’s oldest theatres ' Prabhath' was inaugurated on Wednesday, August 15. Theatre’s managing director Prashanth Narayan inaugurated the newly renovated theatre.

From last 20 years, the theatre was entertaining movie enthusiasts. But it was quite old and was in a critical condition. Hence, it was closed for renovation.

Now the theatre is highly advanced with 4k projection, dolby sound system with air-condition.



Telugu movie ‘Geetha Govindam’ starring Vijay Deverekonda and Rashmika Mandanna is the first movie to be screened after reopening.

Speaking to the media, managing director of the theatre Prashanth Narayan said, “We have upgraded both Suchitra and Prabhath theatre. We were the first one to introduce ultra sound in the year 1993 at Suchitra theatre. After two years, we introduced it at Prabhath theatre. Slowly our theatre made transformation with DTS technology. Now after renovation, this theatre is air conditioned, with dolby system and 4k projection. This will be a fantastic viewing experience for the audience.”

Manager V Subraya Pai, Sudheendra and Venkata Subbayya were present.
